The first thing you need to know about Str8ts is that you are going to be playing a number puzzle game that is different from Sudoku. In Sudoku you are going to place numbers uniquely in each row and column. But in Str8ts you can place numbers in any order in any row and column. The only thing you need to do is make sure that the numbers you place are all different.
The rows and columns are divided into compartments. These work like a poker hand - you have to make sure that the numbers are like a "straight" but they can be in any order. The dark blue cells are the clues. These can't be used as part of a straight.
